Chapter Officers

Ronnie von Pierre Norfleet - Chapter Representative

He is an associate minister at the New Zion Baptist Church. He is also a tenured Associate Professor at Jefferson Community and Technical College. He is also Director of Music at the Green Street Baptist Church. He achieved a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music from Indiana University Southeast, a Master of Church Music degree and Master of Divinity in Christian Education degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is a member of the Hampton University Choir Directors Guild, Louisville Choral Union, Gospel Music Workshop of America, a faculty member of the J. L. Roberts School of Religion, and Director of the Messengers for Christ Intergenerational Community Choir. He was appointed Chapter Representative in 2020.

Kenya Lacy - Assistant Chapter Representative

She is a member of the Saint Stephen Baptist Church. She is also Director of the _______ Choir at the Southern Indiana Campus of Saint Stephen. She also participates on the Praise and Worship team at her church

Kevin Crittenden - Business Manager

Kevin is an Assistant Chapter Representative and serves as Business Manager for the chapter. He is a member of Remnant Church of God in Christ.

Margie Hurdle, Secretary

Margie is a member of the King Solomon Baptist Church. She previously served as SecretaryTreasurer of the Bluegrass Chapter of the GMWA. Margie also is founder of the Cancer Survivors Choir that provides assistance to cancer survivors.

David McKnight - Treasurer

David is a member of the Cable Baptist Church. He is also a professional chef and caterer. He also works at the A. D. Porter Funeral Home as a licensed beautician and funeral assistant. David has sung with many outstanding community choirs in the past. As treasurer he oversees the financial transactions of the chapter and all local and financial obligations of the chapter.

Michele Sydnor - Financial Secretary

Michele is a member of the Little Flock Baptist Church. Michele is member of 1Purpose Community Choir directed by Maestro Joe Leavell. Michele is a choir director and praise team leader. She has sung with the Pastor's Conference Choir and other choral groups in our area. Michele audits the transactions of the local chapter for accuracy and accountability.

Yolanda Green - Academic Dean

Yolanda is a member of the Saint Stephen Baptist Church. Holds a graduate degree in church music from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Yolanda will coordinate academic classes for the local chapter to enhance worship and performance presentations.

We are using established Louisville neighborhoods to organize our local chapter to reach as many ministers, directors, singers and musicians as possible. Here you will find the Neighborhood areas as well as the representatives for those areas. This page also contains the list of churches, groups, schools and organizations that are included in those areas. These areas may extend beyond the designated geographical boundaries. These persons will also be forwarding updates to you as we revive, rebuild and reactivate our local chapter.
